Wishing Everyone A Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas Everyone! I am still working on a few wholesale orders and in the midst of everything I have decided I need all new ornies for my tree! LOL! I am shooting for Monday to have everything ready to decorate. We are using our 6 foot artificial Canadian Alpine this year. Last year we had a real tree and even though they are so beautiful and smell so nice its the biggest pain in the butt to get rid of it up here. You pay more to have it hauled off then the tree originally costs. Anyway I designed a couple of New Snowmen that will make it on the tree this year! I will post pictures as soon as I get them! Just Finished These Great Candy Cane Ornies
Hi Everyone! Just wanted to share with Yall some of my new Candy Canes 8 1/2" Tall. These are my own pattern and I used a Homespun that looks like very light red ticking fabric. I am finally getting a little caught up enough to be able to make a few new things! These Canes come with Fresh Cut Evergreen Cedar as they are purchased!
I Love the Greens they last so long....months actually! If you need some for your Christmas decor I have some listed on ebay for $9.99 jam packs a Priority Flat Rate Box weighing approx 3 to 4 lbs and I cut nice long boughs.

A Friendship Award For Me From Pam
I received a Friendship award today from Pam http://antiqueornot.blogspot.com/ Thank you so much Pam for thinking of me!
Here are my Questions and Answers
1. Do you have the same friends since childhood?
No I do not. My Dad was in the Army and we moved every 2 - 3 years.
2. What do you value most about your friends?
Honesty.
3. Are your friends sounding boards?
Thats a YES!
4. What is your favorite activity to share with friends?
Tina is my Best Friend. When she lived here we would have coffee and lunch out. We would visit at each others house with our families ~ we crafted together and sold our wares to Primitive Shoppes all around the Pacific Northwest. We always had lots of FUN shopping and doing Craft Shows.
Since Tina moved to Florida the most favorite thing we do is talk on the phone LOL all day long while we work on orders , cook, do laundry and run errands!
I would like to present the Friendship Award to Tina http://oldglorysoldiers.blogspot.com/

One Of My Favorites From Paul Harvey
We tried so hard to make things better for our kids that we made them
worse.
For my grandchildren, I'd like better.
I'd really like for them to know about hand me down clothes and
homemade
ice
cream and leftover meat loaf sandwiches. I really would.
I hope you learn humility by being humiliated, and that you learn
honesty
by
being cheated.
I hope you learn to make your own bed and mow the lawn and wash the
car.
And I really hope nobody gives you a brand new car when you are
sixteen.
It will be good if at least one time you can see puppies born and your
old
dog put to sleep.
I hope you get a black eye fighting for something you believe in.
I hope you have to share a bedroom with your younger brother/sister.
And
it's all right if you have to draw a line down the middle of the room,
but
when
he wants to crawl under the covers with you because he's scared, I
hope you
let him.
When you want to see a movie and your little brother/sister wants to
tag
along, I hope you'll let him/her.
I hope you have to walk uphill to school with your friends and that
you
live
in a town where you can do it safely.
On rainy days when you have to catch a ride, I hope you don't ask your
driver to drop you two blocks away so you won't be seen riding with
someone
as
uncool as your Mom.
If you want a slingshot, I hope your Dad teaches you how to make one
instead
of buying one.
I hope you learn to dig in the dirt and read books.
When you learn to use computers, I hope you also learn to add and
subtract
in your head.
I hope you get teased by your friends when you have your first crush
on a
boy\girl, and when you talk back to your mother that you learn what
ivory
soap
tastes like.
May you skin your knee climbing a mountain, burn your hand on a stove
and
stick your tongue on a frozen flagpole.
I don't care if you try a beer once, but I hope you don't like it. And
if a
friend offers you dope or a joint, I hope you realize he is not your
friend.
I sure hope you make time to sit on a porch with your Grandma/Grandpa
and
go
fishing with your Uncle.
May you feel sorrow at a funeral and joy during the holidays.
I hope your mother punishes you when you throw a baseball through your
neighbor's window and that she hugs you and kisses you at
Hannukah/Christmas time
when you give her a plaster mold of your hand.
These things I wish for you - tough times and disappointment, hard
work and
happiness. To me, it's the only way to appreciate life.

Vote For Andrew Cystic Fibrosis Scholarship Finalist
From Tina At Old Glory Soldiers
Please click Title of Post
This is an email I received from my cousin in Georgia ... she is a teacher, and as you can tell she is very compassionate about her students .... please read Andrew's story and if you feel it in your heart vote for him ... all it takes is a click of a button...
"Thought y'all would want to help Andrew out. For those of you who don't know, I taught Andrew in the 6th grade. He is a VERY intelligent young man. It used to bother me tremendously that Andrew was so smart, yet so sickly. I just couldn't understand why God would allow someone of such wonderful intelligence to have a dreadful disease. Well, you live and learn. Andrew has a purpose in life and it is to touch the hearts of all the people he meets. He even came back to Bainbridge and taught one year at Hutto last year. Thanks in advance for helping him out! Have a great day!"

CLEANING YOUR STENCILS
I have so many stencils! Over 1000 and I lost count. I paint everyday and most days I dont have time to clean them after each use. Now I know youve heard about cleaning them with Rubbing Alcohol, Simple Green, Goat Milk Soap and Soaking them in Sudsy Water. Well I have tried ALL of these except for the Goat Soap and I just dont have time to stand or sit there and rub paint off of my stencils ESPECIALLY when its built up several coats! So I have come up with a solution! One so easy you are just not going to believe it until you try it!
First it is PERFECT for built up paint or just a few layers the KEY here is your STENCIL has to be DRY .....BONE DRY!
I like to pull out my work table and lay all the "Heavy" stencils down next to one another. Paint side up of course. Then I take a can of EASY OFF OVEN CLEANER in the YELLOW CAN and I spray them and WALK AWAY. Sometimes I am gone for 30 minutes or an hour or even longer. Then I get my water hose out with the spray nozzle attachment you know the one like you have by the kitchen sink. I spray all that paint right off these stencils and they are so Clean they look BRAND NEW!
You can do this in your house if you want to, but remember there are fumes to deal with so open a door or window.
Remember you heard it here first!
