My Dads whole life was all about being a US Army Soldier. He had served 2 tours in Vietnam, he later went to OCS at Ft Benning, Ga. and became an officer. After 9/11 all he wanted to do was go back into the Army to fight for our Freedoms. At age 57 he joined back up through a special program. He served 1 year in Afghanistan and went on to Iraq to train Iraqi soldiers. At age 60 he was killed by a roadside bomb in Basra Iraq. He is the oldest U.S. service member of all Military Branches to die in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Thank you Daddy for your selfless sacrifice. You are truly our HERO and will not be forgotten.
